Glenn O'Neal, a student at J.W. Faulk Elementary, placed second in the Writes of Spring Young Writer's Contest in the firs-t and second-grade fiction category.
O'Neal is a first grader in Bridget Begnaud's class and an enrichment student with Kay Couvillon. His winning story will be entered in the Louisiana Writes Youth Writing Contest.
