A. R. Reading Accelerated Reader Program A.R. QUIZ LIST - CLICK HERE- ALPHABETICAL LISTING by TITLE If you would like to view the A.R. list other ways, click on A.R. QUIZ LIST on the school's homepage. Once you click on that link, you will be given more choices for viewing the A.R. list. Thank you, Lauren Hudson - Lafayette Parish Web Designer, for providing the information about linking the quiz list!! Students in grades 2-4 begin the A.R. Program at the start of the new year. Students begin the year by completing the STAR test. This test determines the child's independent reading range. Once their range is determined, students will select library books within that range. When the child completes the book, he or she will go to the computer and complete an A.R. quiz on the book. Students receive reading incentives from the library for earning points. Our school's goal is to maintain an overall average of 85% or higher on all quizzes. FIRST GRADERS: 1st graders will begin the A.R. program when all of the students have completed STAR testing and lessons are taught about the A.R. program. This should at the end of November. Requesting Quizzes on Specific Titles of Books Not all books are A.R. books. Some books do not have an A.R. quiz available for purchase. The library purchases quizzes at a cost of $2.82 for each quiz. The price continues to go up each year. When I place an order for quizzes, I have to purchase a minimun of 20 quizzes. The complete listing of available A.R. quizzes can be seen at www.renlearn.com You click on Quiz Store and type in the title of the book in order to see if a quiz is available for the book. I prefer to purchase quizzes for the books in our library's collection. If your child has a favorite book that is not in our collection, he/ may request that I add this to the collection. However, please know that there are certain guidelines that I have to follow when ordering books.
