Mrs. Arleen Orgeron is the library media specialist at Broussard Middle School. She has been the librarian at our school since 1986. Prior to being librarian, she was a classroom teacher for 8 years. She is a certified teacher with extra certifications as school librarian and supervisor of teacher/library interns. She holds a master’s degree.
Mrs. Patricia Lancon is the library assistant. She has been at Broussard Middle since 1996. Prior to this, she worked in the clerical field in the business community giving her years of experience. Her secretarial certificate comes from UL of Lafayette.
The library workers are 8th graders who are selected to work in the library as an elective. To be selected to work in the library a student must earn good grades, be a hard worker, be recommended by a teacher, and have parental approval. A limited number are selected.
