Welcome
The office staff, bus drivers, and bus attendants strive to provide all the students of Lafayette Parish with safe, quality rides in an efficient and timely manner.
Our department was one of the first to meet the requirements necessary to be free from the desegregation court order and also received National Accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
In order to accomplish our goals we are implementing the recommendations of the Chamber of Commerce peer review committee and the Louisiana legislative auditor's report by using state of the art technology (Computerized routing software, GPS tracking, on bus cameras and recording devices), a network of communications from transportation districts spanning the U. S. from Florida to Washington State, and to broaden our knowledge base by continuing our commitment as “Life Long Learners” attending college courses and seminars. We welcome and appreciate all parental participation and suggestions relevant to making our department the best in the nation.
