The parents, faculty and staff of Westside Elementary are committed to preparing all students for academic success.

Westside Elementary School is committed to excellence in education. The faculty and staff work cooperatively to provide an environment for the students that is both pleasant and conducive to learning. The following mission statements are offered to the parents, students and community members as an expression of the intent of the staff to help develop academically and socially competent students.

Note to parents:
Check and sign agenda books daily Signed papers on Wednesday.  Instructional fees are $20.00.  The PTO is collecting Box Tops for Education, Campbell Soup and Community Coffee labels to help raise money for our school.  Please turn them into your child's teacher.

Reading:  Read every night for 20 minutes!  The Learner Will build reading skills by developing oral language, phonemic awareness with listening and comprehension strategies.

Parental Involvement Mission Statement:
The Westside Elementary faculty and staff are committed to maintaining open lines of communication with parents.  We believe that parental involvement is a necessity as we strive to develop a total child.  We are committed to involving parents in shared decision-making and encouraging parents to become active participants in their child's educational process.
