File: AC SCHOOL DISTRICT ORGANIZATION PLAN
For instructional purposes, the schools of the district shall be organized on an elementary, middle and high school basis. The preferred grade structure for these schools shall be grades K-S for elementary grades, grades 6-8 for middle schools and grades 9-12 for high schools.
Deviation from the preferred grade structure shall be minimal and shall occur only when the geographical location of a community makes such a grade structure impractical to implement.
The Board shall approve all changes in instructional organization as it pertains to grade levels accommodated in various school buildings before such changes take effect.
