File: AE SCHOOL AND ADMINISTRATIVE CALENDARS
The school calendar and the administrative calendar shall be prepared by the superintendent or his designee and shall provide for calendars two years in advance.
The school calendar shall set forth the days schools shall be in session, holidays, in-service days, emergency make-up days, days marking the beginning and end of reporting periods and other significant dates.
Attachments to the school calendar will include schedules indicating the work days for staff assigned to ten (10), ten and one-half (10½) and eleven (11) month status, and shall be prepared by the Human Resources Division.
The administrative calendar shall indicate the work days and holidays for twelve-month employees.
SCHOOL YEAR
The school year, as established by the school calendar, shall consist of 182 days. Of these, the Board may designate certain days as staff development days for purposes of in-service training, reporting to parents, etc.
