J.W. Faulk 5th Grade Community Service
Mrs. Marlene Broussard's fifth grade art class participated in a community service project with the "Council on Aging" and the Nutrition Department under the leadership of Ms. Korida Phillip. The fifth graders colored Christmas angels for a "Chick-Fil-A angel Christmas tree" on Ambassador Caffery Parkway.

Favorite subject: Math
Why do you like your school: It is a fun school because I like Ms. Cockrell’s Math lessons. I also like Ms. Amy’s Reading class because we learn a lot and get treats when we are star students.
Why you're proud to study in Acadiana: Acadiana is different and fun because we have Mardi Gras, lots of fun places like Incredible Pizza.
Extracurricular activities: I play football with my friends. Also, I go to basketball games on Saturdays. I love to travel. This year, I went to Disney World!
Favorite place to study: My favorite place to study is in my room because it’s quiet.
What career you would like to be in: I would like to be a famous football playing like Kevin Faulk.

 

Dovontay HelaireName: Dovontay Helaire School, grade: J.W. Faulk, 4
Favorite subject: Project Read because we do fun things.
Why do you like your school: I like J. W Faulk because we have great teachers like Ms. Hundley, Ms. Angers, Ms. Clements, and Ms. Amy.
Why you¹re proud to study in Acadiana: I like it here because I have all of my family here.
Extracurricular activities: I play football, basketball, and baseball.
Favorite place to study: I like to study in my room at home because it is quiet.
What career you would like to be in: I want to be a famous football player for the Chargers.

Name: Lyric Nathan School, grade: J.W. Faulk, 4th grade Favorite subject: "Math because it’s fun. I’ve always liked Math. I’m good at it." Why do you do like your school? I like my school because I have 2 favorite teachers, Ms. Clements and Mrs. Richard." Why you're proud to study in Acadiana?: "I like it here because the people are so friendly." Extracurricular activities: "I play soccer with my cousins ­ Destiny and Martinez." Favorite place to study: "I do my homework in my room at my desk because it’s quiet." What career you would like to be in?: "I want to be a dentist." 

 

Chad Dugas Chad Dugas
Chad Dugas is a 4th grade student at J.W. Faulk.  He likes school because he has fun and a favorite teacher named Ms. Comeaux.  He was student of the week in her class.  Chad's favorite subject is Reading.  Chad is proud to study and live in Acadiana because he likes the food, including crawfish, shrimp, and crabs.  His favorite place to study is in the library at the school.  Chad enjoys playing football after school with his friends in the neighborhood.  Chad would like to play football when he attends Northside High School, and he would like to be a lawyer when he grows up.

 

 

 

 

Asia Matthews:  Asia Matthews
Asia Matthews is a 4th grade student at J.W. Faulk Elementary.  She is in Ms. Clements' class. Asia's favorite subject is Math.  She enjoys school at J.W. Faulk because of her favorite teacher, Ms. Clements and the principal, Ms. Mays, assistant principal, Mrs. Dobbins, and discipline coordinator, Mr. Philips.  Asia loves to study and learn in Acadiana because she loves the food here! Her favorite place to study is in her room on her bed.  Asia enjoys playing volleyball.  As her career, Asia aspires to be a nurse because they help people and give medicine.

 

 

 

Khristera SylvesterKhristera Sylvester

 

Khristera Sylvester is a 4th grade student at J.W Faulk Elementary.  She loves her teachers, Mrs. Clements, Ms. Amy, and her last year teacher, Ms. Angers.  Khristera also says she appreciates the principals, Ms. Mays and Mrs. Dobbins.  Khristera's favorite subject is Math!  When asked her most challenging subject, Khristera replies, "None!  I"m good at everything!"  Her favorite place to study is in the park.  She enjoys living and learning in Acadiana because of the crawfish!  Khristera's ambitious career goal is to become a famous singer and a teacher
