Request for Out of Zone Exception The Lafayette Parish School System does not have a "hardship" provision for enrolling students into schools outside of their assigned school zones. Any parent wishing to request a zone exception must complete the Request for Out of Zone Assignment Form and send to: Nelda Broussard
The Lafayette Parish School System has a Zone Exception Review Committee. You will be notified when the committee is scheduled to review your case and will be invited to attend. The committee will review your request for a zone exception and respond to you by letter. Please contact Nelda Broussard at (337) 521-7093 for assistance. Out of Zone Exceptions must be renewed annually.
