BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS SECURITY

Any unauthorized person or persons loitering around school buildings and/or on school campuses shall be considered trespassers. The school administration is required to contact the appropriate law enforcement agency within whose jurisdiction the campus lies in the event unauthorized persons are apprehended on school property. Law enforcement officials shall be requested to arrest all persons loitering, inciting rioting, or otherwise threatening the safety, health and welfare of students, staff, or authorized visitors on campus.

All cases of vandalism or other disturbances which require police response shall be reported immediately by telephone to the office of the Superintendent or his designee. The telephone call shall be followed up by a written report giving complete details of the incident.

The Board shall prosecute to the fullest extent of the law acts of vandalism resulting in damage to school property. Parents or guardians shall be held responsible for payment of damages or for stolen items in the event that such acts are committed by minors.
