Furniture and equipment: 1. The principal shall organize the staff of the school so that adequate care of furniture and special equipment is exercised. 2. Students will be instructed in their civic duty to respect public property. 3. Student desks will be checked periodically for defacements. Instructional materials: 1. Students will be given specific instruction in the use and care of textbooks and other instructional materials. 2. Textbooks and other instructional materials assigned to students will be checked periodically. 3. Accurate records will be kept of all instructional materials. Book cards (Form 3 for elementary and Fonn 4 for high school) will be filled out on all textbooks issued. The condition of the book when it is issued will be stated on the card.
