BAND
All band classes require rehearsals and performances beyond the regular school day. A lab fee may be required for band classes. State Music Supervisor, Martin Sotile confirmed the fact that students may receive credit for two advanced band classes during the same year. (January 8, 1999).
Applied Music Grades: 9-12

In this course, students will develop dance and color guard drill skills. The course is designed for students who are interested in being members of a band auxiliary group and who have satisfied the audition and camp requirements. A background in dance or gymnastics is helpful but not required. Band auxiliary groups perform with the marching band and participate in several competitions.
Beginning Band Grades: 9-12

This course is designed for, but not limited to, freshmen who have had one or more years of band instruction at the middle school level. In this course students will continue to develop the fundamentals of musicianship. An audition may be required.

Advanced Band (PR) (Percussion) Grades: 9-12

This course is designed for students who have had one or more years of percussion instruction at the middle school level. All aspects of percussion are covered including both marching and concert instruments. Students in this class perform in the marching band in the fall and in the concert or symphonic band in the spring. An audition may be required.
Advanced Band (WW I) (Woodwind I) Grades: 9-12
