Students in Mrs. Sonnier's class, at Broussard Middle School, went on a field trip to BREC's Zoo in Baton Rouge on Wednesday, April 2nd.  Her students enjoyed seeing the state capital and the Mississippi River which they learned about in class.  Going to the zoo allowed them to witness and understand how animals behave and live.  The trip was fully paid for by a donation from the Knights of Columbus in Broussard.  Geroge Martin visited Mrs. Sonnier's class in January of this year with a check from the Knights of Columbus.  The donation also includes the purchase of learning games for Mrs. Sonnier's students.  The gift from the K.C. was greatly appreciated.
