Is Adult Education for You?

A high school equivalency diploma is available through the GED program

Every year, nearly 800,000 adults take the Test of General Education Development (GED) opening the doors to higher education, better job opportunities and increased standards of living.  The GED Tests are designed to measure the important knowledge and skills (usually learned in high school) that adults may have obtained through experience, reading, or informal training.  Many adults only need to  brush up on a few skills in order to prepare for the tests.  The Lafayette Parish School Systems' Adult Education Program is FREE and is the most efficient and up-to-date GED program available.

The adult learning centers are excellent places for enrichment. You can work independently or in a class setting.
