Chamber Donates Funds to LHS Health Academy
|
| The Board heard from Steve Jones, from the Health Care Committee of the Chamber of Commerce, who donated $7,000 to the Health Care Academy at Lafayette High School. The funds were donated for the purpose of purchasing student materials to be used in the health academy. Lafayette High plans to spend $1,750 per year for the next four years on student materials, such as software for computer labs. Stacey Thibodeaux, health academy director at Lafayette High, was on hand to receive the donation. |

Math Club / Mu Alpha Theta
Description: Math club is primarily involved in the promotion of competition between Lafayette High and other schools in the region. We support a math tournament annually here at LHS and attend other tournaments throughout the year.
Meetings are Mondays after school. Dates and times will be announced. The meetings will be in Room 705, Ms. Landry's room.
