National Honor Society To be eligible for National Honor Society, a student must have and maintain a cumulative average of 3.50 and must have taken at least two units of advanced level courses per year. No courses below the regular level of difficulty in academic areas can be taken. Additionally, potential members must meet high standards of leadership, service, and character. Members of the junior and senior classes are eligible. Candidates must have been in attendance at AHS for at least one semester. A member who falls below a cumulative 3.50 GPA within the first three semesters will have one semester to bring the average to the required level. Any senior member who does not have a 3.50 cumulative GPA for their final GPA will be dismissed. Additional information about the National Honor Society may be obtained from the sponsor. Sponsors:Peggy Stefan Lula Bailey Service Projects:Food Drive- Every member is given a specific food item to bring to the meeting on November 8th. The food drive will be help in November around Thanksgiving, and it will take place at St. Joseph's Diner.
Teddy Bears for Stullers Place- New teddy bears will be delivered to the Stuller Place children in December. All Members must bring new teddy bears at the beginning of December, and the bears will be delivered by volunteers. Blood Drive- The blood drive will be held in January 2007.
