The Acadiana High Tennis Team has been working hard to understand and master the fundamentals of tennis. Head coach Jenny Felder works with the team several times a week at Acadiana High and at Thomas Park. The tennis season starts in March. Acadiana competes with schools in the district 2-5A. After district competition, qualified members of the team travel to compete in the Regional's tournament. If a player is successful at Regional's, then he/she will advance to the State tournament, which is at Northwestern University.

In order to letter, a player must meet 3 of 4 criteria:

~ Play for at least two years ~

~ Win at least two district matches ~

~ Advance to Regional's ~

~ Win a Regional's match ~

As of now practices are not mandatory and will not be until the fall.
