Welcome to Lafayette Parish School System

Community Coalition for Lafayette Schools
The Community Coalition for Lafayette Schools will present its proposed final report concerning facilities on Tuesday, July 8, at 6 p.m. in the School Board meeting room.  Everyone is invited to attend this important meeting.  The coalition began meeting in January to discuss the condition of Lafayette school facilities.  Since that time, community members have discussed objectives available to the School Board to solve overcrowding problems, the need for maintenance and new construction, and funding sources for all facility needs.  If you have not attended a meeting to hear the discussion, this would be a perfect opportunity to hear options available to the School Board.
