Open Enrollment for Plan Year 2019
September 15, 2018, through December 14, 2018
 
Open enrollment is the period in which we allow employees to make changes in their employee benefit selections.  The changes employees make during this time are effective January 1, 2019.  Changes made to health insurance benefits will reflect on the December, 2018, paycheck.  All other changes will be on the January, 2019, paycheck.
 
During open enrollment employees may add or drop coverage; add or drop dependents; switch from one health plan to another; and make changes in voluntary benefits such as dental, vision, and disability insurance.
 

If you are currently enrolled in any voluntary benefit, you must re-enroll to keep your benefits. Also, everyone who participates in the flexible spending plan must re-enroll to continue the benefit in 2019.

To make changes to Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance benefits, employees may come by or contact the LPSS Insurance Department (telephone 521-7066; 521-7064; or 521-7065).  For all other benefit changes, employees must visit with a representative from Educational Benefits, Inc. (EBi).  Click here to see the schedule and choose a location to visit with a rep.


The deadline for making changes to the BCBS health plan is December 1, 2018.  The deadline for all other benefits is December 14, 2018.
