AR Million Word Challenge

Accelerated Reader is a literacy program designed to monitor the practice of reading. AR consists of computer-based multiple-choice quizzes that students take after reading a self-selected book. AHS students are rewarded for their reading efforts. The rewards will occur throughout the school year and will culminate in a Millionaire's Program at the end of the school year for those students who read at least one million words during that academic year. Rewards consist of breakfast and lunch events, gift certificates, etc.

Participation in the Acadiana High School AR Reading program is voluntary and encouraged. Any student or parent interested in the program should fill out the form below. We have 80 slots available and will close entry to the program when we have reached max capacity.

To start the 2020-2021 school year, the program is open only to in-person students. LOA students may request to participate if they return to in-person classes.
