COLD WEATHER ATTIRE

I know many of you have been struggling with student dress on designated “cold weather days.”  The key is “cold weather attire must be school appropriate.”  They are allowed to wear long pants, jeans, sweats and corduroy pants.  However, they cannot wear leggings or yoga pants! I feel that I need to clarify the following:

Jeans are allowed, however they CANNOT HAVE HOLES!  (This defeats the purpose of staying warm.)

Pajama bottoms are NOT allowed.

Layered clothing is encouraged.  However, that does not mean they don’t have to wear an acceptable school uniform top.

In addition, please announce that all students must be wearing their school ID when they report to school. If a child does not have an ID, they may purchase a temporary ID from the front office. If the child does not have money for a temporary ID, they will be assigned a minor infraction.

Also, please be observant of proper shoes children should be wearing while at school. Crocs and slides are not acceptable.
