Lafayette Online Academy has sent out emails to parents of all LOA-enrolled students with orientation information, an acknowledgement for student handbook policies, as well as timelines for completing the orientation process and beginning coursework. If parents are receiving emails from LOA, the communication process is working and parents should be responding accordingly.
If a parent has not received emails from LOA, as a first step, please double-check your email spam filter and release any blocked messages. If parents still have not received an email from LOA, we can only assume that LOA does not have a valid email address for the parent. Without a valid parent email address, students cannot continue in the program.
Today, LOA based-school facilitators will begin sharing LOA google classroom sites with students/parents in preparation for students to login and complete activities. At this time, the base-school facilitators will transition to be the main contact for communications and questions regarding LOA.
Any LOA parent who needs assistance should contact the student’s base school.
