LPSS Supt. Dr. Donald Aguillard Appoints Acadian Middle Principal and World Language Specialist

Rollan Moore has been appointed as principal of Acadian Middle School. Mr. Moore earned a Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies in 2009 from UL Lafayette. Subsequently, he entered the Alternative Certification Program at UL Lafayette and received his teaching certificate in May of 2012. In August, he earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from UL Monroe and is currently working on his Doctorate in Educational Leadership.

Mr. Moore started working with the Lafayette Parish School System as the Substitute Employee Management System Operator in Human Resources. Once he became certified, he taught 4th grade and middle school in St. Landry Parish. In 2012, he returned to Lafayette Parish where he served as the Academic/Behavior Coordinator and later as Assistant Principal at Alice Boucher Elementary School. He also served as Assistant Principal at Lafayette Middle School during the 2015-2016 school year.

Dr. Aguillard has appointed Ms. Tia LeBrun as World Language Specialist. Ms. LeBrun earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education in 2004 from Louisiana State University. In 2012, she earned a Master’s in Special Education from the University of New Orleans and has recently received her Educational Leadership certificate from Our Lady of Holy Cross College.

Ms. LeBrun has been a French Language Teacher in Calcasieu Parish since 2004, while also serving as Regional Representative for the Louisiana Foreign Language Association. She has also served as Chapter Secretary, National French Test Administrator, and Louisiana Social Media Coordinator for the American Association of Teachers of French.
