LPSS Art Educators Receive Top Honors

This year, the Lafayette Parish School System has five art teachers who will be recognized for their achievements at the Louisiana Art Education Association (LAEA) fall conference during a virtual award ceremony today, October 23. Each year the LAEA recognizes members for their dedication and service to the organization, the field of art education, and their students. The LAEA state awards recognize members for their outstanding service and dedication to art education. Four of these teachers have been awarded at the state level, and one of these teachers has been nominated to represent the state at the regional level. Please congratulate these teachers:

Shelly Breaux at David Thibodaux STEM Magnet Academy has been awarded the LAEA Secondary Art Educator Award.

Paige Aaron at Paul Breaux Middle School has been awarded the LAEA Distinguished Service Within The Profession. This award honors one LAEA member for outstanding service, achievement, and contribution within our profession.
