LPSS Turnaround Plan - 100% In, 100% Out

Dr Pat Cooper, Superintendent, introduced our plan to take the Lafayette Parish School System from a "C" district under state categories to an "A" district -- in six years. This plan is the result of weeks of work by district staff and faculty, parents, community members, post-secondary staff and faculty, and state education officials. If you'd like a summary of the plan, check out the power point that was presented to the board, here. The complete plan includes references for all the task force recommendations. If you'd like to see a report that examines the data we have on our schools, you can get that here. Read about the Year One 2012-2013 action steps .

Video From A Report from the Front Line

For the first time in the modern history of Lafayette Parish, our community has embraced a powerful new vision for public education. We have accepted the challenge of educating every child from pre-kindergarten through graduation while building a Class A school system for this community in just six years.  Click here for information on attending this event.
