MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Baranco's Counseling Department is to foster an open, safe environment that encourages student success and growth socially, academically, and behaviorally through use of trauma informed and research based strategies, aligning with the ASCA Professional Standard and Competencies.

STUDENTS: Request an appointment.
PARENTS/TEACHERS: Refer a student to the school counselor.

GOOGLE CLASSROOM
Google Classroom
The counseling department uses Google Classroom to share resources and social-emotional learning information to parents and students. This can only be accessed with a student account.
For the access code, please get with your student's teacher or counselor at (337) 521-7500.

School Building Level Committee (SBLC)
The SBLC is a general education, data-driven, decision-making committee that analyzes screening and assessment data as well as background information in the areas of school, home/ family and health to identify solutions to address areas of concern. Parents are a part of the committee and are invited to meetings. Students can be referred to SBLC by a parent, teacher, or another school employee. Please contact your student's teacher or the Instructional Leader at 337-521-7500 if you have questions on Baranco's SBLC process. Click here to refer a student to the SBLC committee.

SEL Topics
SEL stands for social-emotional learning. This refers to the development of skills that help individuals cope, manage and express feelings, and manage relationships with others. Various SEL topics include self-awareness, decision-making, maintaining positive relationships, setting goals, and more. Click here for activities on SEL topics.


ABOUT ME (MS. LANDRY)
Hello and thanks for stopping by! I am a South Louisiana native and a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor. My favorite foods are mac n cheese, shrimp, and crawfish (YUM). I love coffee, music, eating, and my family dog, Sparkle. I have worked with children for 7 years and in mental health for 5. I believe in the success of our students and am excited for this school year!!
