Principal's Message

My name is Colleen Comeaux, and I am honored to introduce myself as the new principal of Lafayette Elementary. I’m incredibly excited to join this community and begin a new chapter alongside you.

As many of you know,  Lafayette Elementary is being formed from the strong foundation of SJ Montgomery, and I want to acknowledge the deep connections and memories that many families are bringing with them. While we are beginning something new, we are not starting from scratch—we’re building on the strength, history, and heart of the school community you’ve helped shape.

My vision for Lafayette Elementary is simple: a safe, supportive, and high-achieving environment where every child is valued, and every family feels connected. I believe in open communication, strong relationships, and a partnership between school and home that helps every student reach their full potential.
