Greetings parents and students. I’m pleased to be the newest addition to the L. J. Alleman staff and administration. I am a graduate of Beau Chene High and The University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I earned my certification in K-12 Music and a Master of Arts in Teaching through Louisiana College. I later achieved certification in Educational Leadership through the State of Louisiana. Before graduating from ULL, I attended Grambling State University where I majored in Music Education and was a member of the World Famed Tiger Marching Band.
I currently have 22 ½ years of experience in education with 8 ½ in administration. I have been employed by LPSS for the last 4 ½ years. I am a former band director and administrator of St. Landry Parish. In my most recent capacity, I served as Assistant Principal at Paul Breaux Middle. Being a passionate, life long educator of nineteen years, I am elated to become part of the L.J. Alleman family. Go, Trojans! After graduating from Church Point High School in 1998, I attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in 2002. It was in that year that I began my journey as a secondary Math teacher at Sunset Middle School. Over the course of my career, I have been on various committees - 504, SBLC, PBIS, Crisis Management, School Improvement, Observation Team, Class Night, Yearbook, and others as well as assisting my school as Math Team Leader. I received my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Louisiana College in 2020, and am excited to put all I’ve learned in the college classroom and the real-world classroom into hands-on strategies to grow students and teachers.
As the Assistant Principal at L. J. Alleman Fine Arts Magnet Academy, I aspire to help my team bring to life the school vision for all students, staff and community members -Attitude, Respect, Tolerance and Self-discipline. I have high expectations for students, staff members and myself, and I also have every confidence that together we can continue to do great things at L. J. Alleman Fine Arts Magnet Academy.

The 2020-2021 school year was my first year as the Instructional Leader at L.J.Alleman Fine Arts Magnet Academy, and my fourth year holding this position in Lafayette parish. I was previously the IL at Judice Middle School. This is my 16th year in education. I began my teaching career in 2005 at Edgar Martin Middle School and remained there until I became an Instructional Leader in 2017. During my time in the classroom, I have had the opportunity to teach 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. Being highly qualified in all subject areas, I was able to teach Math, ELA, Science, Social Studies, as well as several elective classes. These experiences have helped cultivate me into an exceptional instructional leader and helps me to fully connect, understand and support the needs of the teachers and students.
I graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, earning my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education grades 1-8. I am currently working on my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction at UL. I am excited to be a part of such an amazing school.
