About Us

Nestled in the heart of Acadiana, Lafayette, Louisiana is the home of many exciting tourist attractions, immersed with great Cajun culture, and growing families that desire the best for their child.

The Lafayette Parish Early Childhood Community Network is a group of programs working together within the larger community to support all families to better prepare all children for Kindergarten. The network consists of over 75 programs serving children birth-to-5 years including:

Type III Early Learning Centers
Early Head Start
Head Start
Family Child Care Providers
Public Preschools
Non-Public Preschools (NSECD)

We are all working together under the direction of the Louisiana Department of Education to implement the requirements of Act 3 (2012) which supports programs to prepare all children for Kindergarten.
