Karla Landry 

Mrs. Landry will serve as our Assistant Principal.

I am excited about continuing to be Assistant Principal here at Carencro Middle School and with that excitement I bring 33 years of teaching experience in Lafayette  Parish with me. I am dedicated to the district having attended elementary, middle, and high school here in the district. I have taught elementary and high school special education classes, participated in 504 trainings and meetings as co-chair for 10 years, was the School Building Level Chairperson for 11 years, and Lead Special Education Teacher for 4 years. In 2020 I was named High School Teacher of the Year by The Lafayette Education Foundation and it was truly a proud teacher moment for me. With the knowledge  I bring to Carencro Middle School it is my hope to lead with a positive style of leadership, providing assistance to the adminstrative team, staff, students, and community members as needed. 

I am a graduate of ULL (USL), obtained my Master's from the American College of Education and will uptain on my Doctrate March 29, 2026. Having a busy life keeps me on track. In my spare time I enjoy traveling with my family, playing with my grandkids and shopping with my mother (91).

I am a wife, mother and grandmother who loves her cats and dogs. My favoriate poem is, YOU CAN IF YOU THINK YOU CAN, anonymous author, and it hangs near my desk so I can remember that all things are possible with a good mindset.
