Graduation & STEM Pathway Requirements

Students and parents will decide if their student will follow the Jump Start or University Graduation Pathway their Sophomore year of high school. We offer 3 STEM Pathways that may apply to both TOPS University and TOPS Jump Start Students. We also offer 3 Jump Start 2.0 Pathways at DTSMA.

TOPS University Course Requirements - Provides a list of core courses that are approved for Graduation Requirements in each area as well as if they are on a 4 point or 5 point grading scale.
- DTSMA is in the process of aligning our curriculum to three of the STEM Pathways with the Louisiana Department of Education. These pathways may apply to both TOPS University and TOPS Jump Start students. Successful completion of the courses in the Required Courses box at the top will result in a Silver STEM seal on their high school diploma and a pathway stole at graduation. Completion of coursework in both the Required Courses as well as 4 from the Additional Courses will result in a Gold STEM seal on their high school diploma and additional honor cords at graduation.
