LJA Arts Academy

At L.J. Alleman, students have the opportunity to explore and develop their creativity through a variety of fine arts concentrations, including:

• Band – Students learn to perform on wind, brass, and percussion instruments, developing musical literacy, ensemble skills, and performance confidence.
• Chorus – Focuses on vocal technique, harmony, and expressive performance while fostering teamwork and a lifelong love of music.
• Dance – Emphasizes movement, coordination, and self-expression through multiple dance genres such as ballet, jazz, and contemporary styles.
• Guitar – Introduces students to guitar fundamentals, including note reading, chord progressions, and ensemble performance.
• Piano – Builds musicianship and keyboard technique through individual and group instruction, encouraging both solo and collaborative playing.
• Strings – Offers instruction on violin, viola, cello, and bass, helping students develop tone, technique, and ensemble performance skills.
• Theatre – Provides hands-on experience in acting, stagecraft, and production, cultivating creativity, confidence, and collaboration.
• Visual Arts – Engages students in drawing, painting, sculpture, and design, nurturing creativity and artistic problem-solving.
