Meet Your Counselors

Layla Touchet, PLPC

I am the the PreK-2nd counselor. I earned my Master’s in Counselor Education from ULL, with concentrations in School Counseling & Mental Health Counseling. I am also working towards my Ph.D. in Counseling from the University of Holy Cross. My favorite subjects in school were Math & Reading. To this day, I still enjoy both of those things. My favorite coping skills are using mindfulness techniques (meditation, yoga, etc.), taking a walk, reading, and coloring. One of my favorite things to do is to go to kickboxing every morning! However, the thing I enjoy more than anything else in this world is working with students, families, teachers, administration, and the community to help a child be the most academically successful they can be!

Alicia Griffin, LPC, RPT

I serve as counselor for grades 3-5. I am a proud two-time graduate of UL-Lafayette. My favorite subject is Psychology. Hence, I work as an Adjunct Psychology Instructor in addition to my counseling profession.  My all time favorite quote by Eleanor Roosevelt states, “The future belongs to those that believe in the beauty of their dreams.” Daily, I get the precious gift of helping students believe in themselves and the endless opportunities of their future. In my free time, I love to enjoy quality time with my friends and family. My favorite coping skills are listening to music, gardening, and traveling to new places!
