Mission Statement: Our mission is to provide a comprehensive school counseling program that will assist students in acquiring the skills and knowledge needed to become the leader of tomorrow. By working together with school staff, parents/guardians and other stakeholders, we will address students’ academic, personal/social and career readiness goals so that they can become successful and proactive members of society.

Services Provided:

Individual Counseling is a personal and private meeting between a counselor and student where feelings, ideas, and behaviors can be discussed. School Counselors provide brief solution-focused counseling (approximately 6-8 sessions). If continued counseling services are needed, the school counselor may provide the parent/guardian with a list of outside counseling resources.

Small Group Counseling involves two to eight participants who discuss common issues and concerns. Group members share ideas and receive feedback.

Classroom Counselor Lesson is a classroom lesson developed and presented by the school counselor periodically during non-instructional times.

Parental Support provides parents the opportunity to discuss their child’s progress, abilities, growth, and development.

How does a child get to see the counselor?

The student may request to go to the counselor’s office.

The teacher or principal may fill out a counselor referral.

Mom or Dad can request counseling services via phone or email.

Let’s work together for the SUCCESS of our children!
