Acadiana High School

Accelerated Reader is a literacy program designed to monitor the practice of reading. AR consists of computer-based multiple-choice quizzes that students take after reading a self-selected book. AHS students are rewarded for their reading efforts. The rewards will occur throughout the school year and will culminate in a Millionaire's Program at the end of the school year for those students who read at least one million words during that academic year. Rewards consist of breakfast and lunch events, gift certificates, etc.

Participation in the Acadiana High School AR Reading program is voluntary and encouraged. Students wishing to participate should speak to one of the librarian to get enrolled. We have 80 slots available and will close entry to the program when we have reached max capacity. TESTS WILL BE TAKEN DURING THE SCHOOL DAY IN THE LIBRARY.

Feel free to contact your AHS librarians with any questions.
