The Lafayette Parish School System offers Magnet Academy programs at various elementary, middle, and high school levels. In addition to providing students, the curriculum required by state guidelines, the Magnet Academies offers specialized theme-immersed programs, allowing for more exciting and fulfilling educational opportunities.
Student enrollment for the following academies will take place year-round if seats are available.
Elementary: L Leo Judice (Environmental Science Academy), J Wallace James Elementary (Arts Academy) and Cpl. Middlebrook Elementary (Arts Academy)
Middle School: Carencro Middle (Bio-Medical or Informatics Academy), David Thibodeaux STEM Magnet Academy Middle
