OUR MISSION

The Comeaux High School Performing Arts Academy is a School of Choice that serves high school students in Lafayette Parish.

The High School Performing Arts Academy offers instruction in the disciplines of dance, piano, guitar, string orchestra, theatre arts, choral, and instrumental music.  With emphasis on performance, many groups and individuals successfully compete on the local, state, and national levels.

ACADEMY COURSE REQUIREMENTS (Six courses required)

Performing Arts Academy students are required to take the following over their four years in the program.

• Four classes (4 years) in their major discipline area (Piano, Dance, Guitar, Strings, Theatre, Chorus, Band)
• Two classes in other Performing Arts areas

In summary, A total of SIX performing arts courses are required over the four years the student is in the program.
