Regular Board Meeting 10/08/26 - View Agenda

Martial F. Billeaud Elementary is a public elementary school in Broussard, Louisiana, and is part of the Lafayette Parish School System. We serve students in kindergarten through 5th grade. Academically, our school consistently performs above the Louisiana average on state assessments. Recent data shows about 56–61% of students meeting proficiency in math and 57% in reading, placing us among the stronger-performing elementary schools in the state. The school environment emphasizes literacy, technology, and family involvement. Our library program promotes information literacy and lifelong reading, and the school maintains active parent engagement through family compacts, tutoring opportunities, and regular communication

Martial F. Billeaud Elementary opened its doors for the first time in August 2019. Our amazing staff provides a positive learning environment daily so that our children can feel safe at school and want to return each day. We are proud to be a Leader in Me school. We believe that all students can be a leader, not just a few! As a Leader in Me school, we teach all of our students the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People from the book by the coveted author, Steven Covey.

Overall, Martial Billeaud Elementary has a reputation as a well-regarded neighborhood school with solid academic performance, active family engagement, and a focus on providing enriching educational experiences for all of our students.
