The Academy of Information Technology at Carencro High School has a proven track record of excellence in educating young people in modern technology and in preparing them for the 21st Century workforce. 

Each year Academy students have the opportunity to graduate with a meaningful, real-world job experience, and industry-based certifications. Through the 120-hour Internship Program, local businesses partner with the Academy to expose the students to real-world work force practices through applied learning experiences. The internship can be with firms that specialize in IT, an IT department in non-IT companies, or companies/organizations needing IT assistance. 

Students relate their classroom lessons to the work place and develop important professional relationships that can be of lasting value for the future. Each student is matched, based on interest and strengths with businesses intern provider's job description.
