Dance Guidelines

ALL STUDENT OUTFITS FOR HOMECOMING AND PROM MUST BE APPROVED BY ADMINISTRATION PRIOR TO THE DATE OF THE DANCE.
A presentation with pictures and examples of appropriate and non-appropriate dress will be published close to the dance dates. Administration has the final call and the right to refuse entrance to any dance if a student/guest does not adhere to the publicized dress code.

Bringing Guests from Another School to LHS Dances
Your guest must be a high school student or older (maximum age 20). No middle school students are allowed at LHS dances. You must get a signed LHS permission slip signed by the school your guest attends stating that the guest is in good standing. Pictured ID cards are required for all persons attending LHS dances. Prom tickets must be purchased. Prom is an upperclassmen dance. Freshmen are not allowed to attend, but sophomores may attend as guests by following the same procedure as guests from other schools. Guests must abide by all guidelines.

DANCES ARE OPTIONAL.
Students may be tested with a breathalyzer and/or searched for any illegal substance at any school dance or school function. School discipline and/or arrests may follow. Students will not be allowed to enter the Homecoming Dance or Prom after the breathalyzer crew has left, and will not be allowed to leave until after courts have been presented. Specific times will be released close to the dance dates. 

Forms for attending other schools’ dances will not be signed if your current discipline is considered excessive or extreme as determined by the grade-level administrator.
