Attention Lions and Families!
Beginning this school year, our Weapons Detection System (WDS) will be set to a higher sensitivity to further enhance campus safety. To help make the morning intake process quicker and more efficient, and to avoid needing a secondary search, please remove the following items from your booksack before entering the screening area and be prepared to pass them around WDS:
Hard eyeglass cases
Metal lunch boxes (please switch to a non metal lunch box)
Metal pen/pencil pouches (please switch to a non metal pen/pencil pouch)
Collapsible umbrellas
3 ring binders
Laptops
In addition:
Aerosol sprays of any kind are not allowed on campus, including spray deodorant, body spray, perfume, and cologne.
Please switch to non metal water bottles and cups to help reduce unnecessary WDS alerts and keep the screening process moving efficiently.
Taking a few moments to prepare before you reach WDS will help keep lines moving, reduce delays, minimize secondary searches, and get everyone to class on time.
