IFCD School Volunteers Policy
The Lafayette Parish School Board recognizes that volunteers can make many valuable contributions to schools. Therefore, the School Board endorses the use of school volunteers in the district, subject to suitable safeguards and administrative regulations, to be promulgated by the Superintendent and staff, in cooperation with the schools. In support of student and school safety, school volunteers may be required to undergo a criminal background check prior to and/or in order to continue certain volunteer services in the district.
