The Lafayette Parish school system wants to notify students and parents that Carencro Middle School and Carencro Heights Elementary School will be open tomorrow for students and staff, even though the City of Carencro has issued a boil water advisory.
All safety precautions will be followed to ensure students and staff are safe. Meals will be served and students are encouraged to bring bottled water if they can do so. LPSS will also provide bottled water during this time. The water system is operational, so restrooms will be functioning as usual. Once the boil water advisory has been lifted, we will notify students and staff that it is safe to consume water.
