Lafayette Parish School System is excited to announce that students without internet connectivity can receive a free internet signal by visiting the property on any one of our 46 school sites. Already, all LPSS schools broadcast a Wi-Fi signal, but smart buses are now strategically placed on school campuses to extend the Wi-Fi signal to a further radius, such as into the parking lots, for more students to have internet service. Smart buses are located on LPSS campuses weekdays from 9 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
LPSS students needing internet service are encouraged to bring their device - whether its an LPSS-issued device or their personal device - to wirelessly connect and complete online assignments.
