The TAP (Teacher Advisory Panel) held its first introductory meeting today with Superintendent Trosclair. Superintendent Trosclair shared her vision for the panel expressing the importance to her that teachers in the district have a voice, feel supported, and help impact change.
Panelists communicated their reason for applying for TAP. Their responses included:
- To help find solutions
- To move LPSS forward
- To have a voice when decisions are made
- To advocate for fellow teachers and students
- To give a voice to the voiceless
- To collaborate with teachers to find solutions
The panel will meet again in June to begin prioritizing topics to be addressed.
