Interim Superintendent Irma Trosclair has appointed Ms. Rose Marcel as the new principal of Alice N. Boucher Elementary School. Ms. Marcel earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Ms. Marcel has thirty-one years of experience in the field of education. She began her career as an elementary teacher at Grolee Elementary School and J. Wallace James Elementary School. She has served as a reading facilitator, instructional strategist, and English Language Arts instructional coach. Ms. Marcel’s most recent role was assistant principal at Alice N. Boucher Elementary School and then J.W. Faulk Elementary School.
Ms. Marcel was awarded Teacher of the Year at both J. Wallace James Elementary School and Alice N. Boucher Elementary school.
