Youngsville Middle School Incident

At approximately 8:30 a.m. this morning, students reported to a counselor that another student was in possession of a gun on the campus of Youngsville Middle School. The school resource officer and school administrators immediately investigated and apprehended the individual. An unloaded, small caliber firearm was found. Youngsville police took possession of the gun without incident. There was no direct threat against any member of the Youngsville Middle School faculty or student body. The student was taken into custody by the police and will be disciplined by the school according to the Student-Parent Handbook.
