Lafayette Parish Public Schools and Offices will be closed Friday, December 8

The Lafayette Parish School System administration has been monitoring weather conditions predicted for Friday morning.  There is a slight chance of freezing precipitation and ice on bridges and overpasses, which would result in hazardous conditions for transportation.  Out of an abundance of caution, we will close all schools and offices Friday, December 8.  Because we know these decisions impact thousands of families, we make every effort to make these decisions as soon as the question of safety arises.  The safety of our children is our primary consideration in these situations.
