Lafayette Parish School System Superintendent Dr. Donald Aguillard has appointed Stephanie Robin as principal of S.J. Montgomery Elementary School starting Monday, September 18.
Ms. Robin earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from LSU, a Master of Education Degree and more than thirty additional graduate hours from UL Lafayette.
Ms. Robin has served as a teacher for East Baton Rouge Parish, Acadia Parish, and Lafourche Parish before coming to Lafayette Parish as an English Language Arts Teacher at N. P. Moss Middle School. She continued her career in Lafayette Parish School System by serving as the Reading Facilitator at Alice Boucher Elementary School and Live Oak Elementary School. She also served as the District Health and Wellness Coordinator. Her most recent position was Assistant Principal at Live Oak Elementary School.
Ms. Robin is a Nationally Board Certified Teacher. She has been awarded the Academic Excellence Award and Robinette Award at UL Lafayette. She was awarded the Acadia Parish Teacher of the Year and was Lafayette Education Foundation Teacher-of-the-Year for 3 years.
