Academy of Health Careers

It has been incorrectly reported that the Lafayette Parish School Board would be considering the movement of the Academy of Health Careers from Lafayette High School to another school at tonight’s board meeting. There has been no official discussion at the district level to this effect, nor has an agenda item been brought before board members for consideration. An information report from Geographic Planning and Demographic Services will be presented to the board at tonight’s meeting. The report recommends establishing a process for identifying and implementing any program relocations that could help alleviate current facility overcrowding for the upcoming 2016-2017 school year. No specific programs have been identified in the report.
